December 21-23: 11a-6p
December 24: 11a-4p
Closed: December 25-28
December 29-30: 11a-6p
December 31: 11a-3p
Closed: January 1-5

We will resume our Winter Hours on January 6th: Wednesday - Saturday 11a -6p

Above all, we want to wish you all a very safe and happy and peaceful holiday and new year. Thank you so much for all of your support, smiles, and high-fives.  It truly never gets old. And thank you for believing in the old fashioned bricks and mortar store model. While it's inevitable that we dabble in new technology, we love tiny stores. You love tiny stores. As corny as it might sound, they really do bring a community together where folks can engage.  It's all very relevant--still.  Peace out.

Oh, and one more thing.  We couldn't end our holiday season without thanking Gemma Hart Ingalls for allowing us to use her wonderful snowy image for our gift wrap. Please be sure to check out more of Gemma's work here. Thank you Gemma. You have calmed and smiled more than you know. XOX

2015 Holiday Gift Guide

When it comes to putting together a thoughtful gift, we firmly believe in the thrill of the hunt. It’s not easy work, but the ingredients can sometimes be found right in front of you. While the internet is obviously a helpful tool, more often than not you can find what you need in and around your own neighborhood. The items in this guide that are not from Pod were found in and around our own neighborhood: At the stationer’s, a café, a small vintage shop—and even the butcher’s. You can download the guide here.

So swing by our website or stop in at our brick-and-mortar shop and explore Cambridge. Or, poke around your own neighborhood and investigate your local independents. You might discover something new and wonderful. And if not, we’re just a few clicks away.

Last day of school Ice Cream Social: Thursday, June 25th

Last day of school Ice Cream Social: Thursday, June 25th

Thursday, June 25th is the, whew.. official last day of school. You see, in case you don't live nearby, our shop is situated right across the street from the Baldwin Elementary School and playground. Our brutal winter has these kids locked and loaded until the end of the month. What better way to break free than with a good old fashioned ice cream social. Come one, and all, we are thrilled to be hosting honeycomb creamery as they begin to launch their delicious small batch ice cream biz right outta Somerville, MA. Seriously tasty flavors will be scooped into cones and cups. Wildly excited last-day-of-school kids, relieved parents, and sprinkles will be on hand. Two hours of scooping 2:45-4:45pm. Bring your wallet--pints for sale too. Oh yeah, tossed into the flavor mix will be a gorgeous sorbet.

PATCH NYC Pop-Up: April 17-19

We're super excited to be hosting a weekend-long pop-up featuring the extraordinary works by Don Carney and John Ross aka PATCH NYC. We'll be kicking this event off with an opening reception the evening of Friday April 17th from 6-8pm-ish. We'll be presenting a vignette of John and Don's inspired world which includes collage, embroidery, ink drawings, block prints along with their signature home decor, jewelry, and accessories. If you're not so familiar with PATCH NYC, this will be the perfect opportunity to experience the magic of this Boston based design duo. We hope to see you and remember, this is only a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (yes we'll be open that Sunday) event. Happy Spring!
