It's a Shopping + Fundraising Kind of Weekend

Shopping. Fundraising. Join us December 11th & 12th!

Our annual holiday event is especially important because we'll be donating a portion of our weekend sales to Rosie's Place, a local organization whose mission is close to our hearts.

Rosie's Place was founded in 1974 as the first women's shelter in the United States. Located in Boston, their mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment that helps poor and homeless women maintain their dignity, seek opportunity, and find security in their lives.
Today, Rosie's Place is a multi-service community center that offers women emergency shelter and meals, and so much more: a food pantry, ESOL classes, legal assistance, wellness care, one-on-one support, housing and job search services, and community outreach. Here women will find support, opportunity and the tools they need to make a new start.
Rosie's Place relies SOLELY on the generous support of individuals, foundations, and corporations and DOES NOT accept any city, state, or federal funding.

So what's going on besides making a dent in your gift lists?
Erin Heath, the creative force behind Forêt, joins us again to create her magical wreaths of fresh and foraged materials. Wreaths can be picked up at Pod December 11-12th. Erin will be on-hand at Pod Saturday, Dec.11th making a few extras. We recommend that you pre order . Orders close Wednesday, Dec.8th at 1pm.

We'll have some freshly baked holiday cookies for sale from our talented friends at
Breadboard Bakery. Speaking of bakeries, we're so excited to welcome
Polka Dog to the party. They'll be at Pod on Saturday, Dec.11th from 11a-3p with the best, all-natural treats for your canine & feline friends. They're made right here in Boston!

Do not forget the RAFFLE!! You know our raffles are pretty great and this year won't disappoint. Anyone who makes a purchase at Pod this weekend can throw their name into the 'hat' to win. Presently, we have very generous donations from: Cutty's, Bon, Lite & Cycle, Sofra Bakery, Covet & Lou, Hi-Rise Bread Co., SAULT New England,  Bagelsaurus, Curio Spice Co., Wine & Cheese CaskField & Vine, and Whimsey by Lindsey. This list could grow.

It's a fun time. We help you out, you help us out, we all help Rosie's out. There's a lotta love around this weekend and we hope you will find a moment to participate. XO

Oh, Spring

Hello Sunshine! Never has spring felt more welcome. These past few sunny days and extra hours of daylight have us feeling revived and ready for a new season. We’ve had a chance to refresh both our brick and mortar store and our website with a host of new items to share with you.
We’re especially excited about our new Pigeon ceramics, from Marumitsu pottery in Aichi, Japan. Useful for serving hot or cold foods, these dishes are cast in a heat-resistant clay which allows them to double as bakeware. We’ve got a trio of sizes for your baking needs, perfect for pudding, cakes, gratin or even macaroni and cheese. We’ve asked our colleague, the talented food photographer and stylist, Shilpa Iyer, to demonstrate how use these in the kitchen, and she’s rewarded us with this tahini chocolate lava cake recipe, that looks out of this world. You can find that here.
If your’e looking for more ways to bring spring into your home, we’ve got bunnies, ceramic bunny dishes that is, great for holding small amounts of salt, spices or condiments on your counter or table. They also make a nice receptacle for rings or any other little item you can come up with.  And they’re just darn cute!
While we sold out of our first round of sunny tiny yellow bowls a few weeks back, we have more on the way in late April. These are guaranteed to bring some spark to your home.
Our New Spring Hours:
Tuesday-Saturday 11am - 5 pm
We can now accommodate four guests at-a-time.
Masks are still a must.
We’ve just put some fresh spring flowers in our front planters and we’re all ready to give you a warm welcome. Please stop by and say hello!

Sweater & Winter Coat Drive for Kids

We are seriously hoping that your children grew a few inches over the Summer.

Pod is hosting a gently-worn sweater & winter coat drive to benefit the folks over at the Cambridge Community Center and gathering items specifically for kids in the 5-13 year age range. Have anything that is clean and has a lot more warmth to give? Drop it off at Pod during normal biz hours between October 30th - November 6th. We'll take it from there. If you don't have any of the above, we'd love it if you could spread the word. That's always helpful too.
